MYTH OR MISUNDERSTANDING #1

We've all had those moments where we wondered what in the world the little person staring back at us must be thinking. It goes for teachers, parents and the curious bystander alike. In this series, we'll be working through a range of myth busters collected from parents and educators around the world ranging from funny to thought provoking.
SHARING IS CARING
Yes it is-- just not in the same way you and your toddler may be thinking. The concept of sharing is something toddlers are just learning is something that adults think they should do.
At DK we make the distinction from early on that sharing goes both ways. An important aspect of our curriculum is teaching children to use their words to communicate their feelings and use as a problem solving skill, instead of responding physically.
